Common questions

Where is the app? It lives in the menu bar. Open its icon to turn the highlight on or off, choose a theme or drag style, or open Settings. You can also show it in the Dock from Settings › General.

How do I turn the highlight on or off? Press Control-Option-H anywhere, or use the switch in the menu bar. To use a different shortcut, record one in Settings › General.

My shortcut does not work. Another app or macOS may already use it. The recorder says so and keeps your previous shortcut working. Try a different combination with ⌘, ⌃ or ⌥.

Does it need Accessibility permission? No. It needs no Accessibility or Input Monitoring access, and it does not record your screen.

Drag effects are not showing. If Reduce Motion is on in your Mac's Accessibility settings, drag motion pauses and click effects become a plain fade. Turn off "Follow the system Reduce Motion setting" in Settings › Style to see them anyway.

How does the trial work? Choose Start 3-day Trial and confirm the free trial through Apple. The 72 hours start when Apple confirms it and keep running while the app is closed. When it ends, highlighting stops. Nothing is charged.

What is Lifetime Unlock? A one-time in-app purchase for unlimited use. No subscription or automatic charge.

I bought Highlight my cursor before. You do not need to buy again. Update to the latest version from the Mac App Store. The app checks your earlier App Store purchase before showing any trial or purchase screen. If the check cannot finish, use Retry Ownership Check or Restore Purchases / Check Apple Account, signed in with the Apple Account you originally bought with.

Which macOS do I need? Version 2.0 and later need macOS 15 or later. Version 1.0 supports macOS 14.

When you write in, please include your macOS version, the app version (Settings › General) and a short description. Never send your Apple Account password or payment card details.
